It's beginning to look a lot like Chritmas...

This year was the best year for picking out a Christmas tree! We had the opportunity to shop at a private tree farm before it opened to the public. We were able to roam around for as long as we wanted, until we found the perfect tree, and then chopped it down the old fashion way. No road side tree stands for us. Hooray!

I'm 2!! Happy Birthday Kellen!

I cant believe my Baby is 2!!! Where does the time go? His "real" birthday was mid-week so we had a low key day and celebrated with ice cream. He was sooo excited to get a whole bowl of ice cream and he even knew how to blow out the candle by him self. It was so cute! After we sang "happy birthday" he clapped and said " yaaaay!!!"

Birthday cakes and decor

The cupcakes were a deceptively delicious recipe with veggie puree and were actually kinda healthy! You'd never know it because they actually tasted good!

Birthday play and presents...

We had a morning party at the toddler gym with all his "friends" and another party in the afternoon at the pizza parlor for all the extended family. Both parties were Car themed, it wasn't even a choice. The parties were crazy but tons of fun and he got way to many gifts!! His favorite was his power wheel. Although, his cleaning kit made a close second!

Happy Halloween!!

Courageous 'Lil Lion

Trying out the goods
One excited little Lion!

Halloween kicked off the beginning of the fall festivities and it looks like this season is going to be tons of fun! Kellen is starting to understand the holidays more which make them the best I've ever had!
Kellen had been trotting around in his Halloween costume before Halloween. he'd see it in his closet and say " I want Rawr down, I want Rawrrrr!". Every time he put on his costume he lifted his hands and said "RAWRRR" with a giggle. It was hilarious!
This was his first year going trick or treating "for real". It took a few houses for him to catch on. He liked ringing the doorbell but he was really confused why I wasn't letting him go into the houses! It makes sense I guess since we've never gone to someones house and Not gone in! He really wasn't sure about everything going into his bucket, since I don't give him candy. I broke the rule for the night and then he was in heaven. CANDY!!! Oh how the kids love candy!

Kellen's 2yr photo's

I love Mommy!!

Handsome little man
I can't Believe Kellen will be 2!!!! It's such a fun age. He's been talking up a storm and cracking us up with his humor. He get's such a kick out of making us laugh.
His still obsessed with cars, trucks, and motorcycles but is also doing a lot of pretend play.
He's become quite the neat freak---he must take after his Papa. He loves to vacume, dust, wipe down the table and tile floor, and wash his hands. He's always saying " uh oh, Dirdy. I Cleeen". Lately he's been "accidentally" making messes so that he can clean.
He's also become a big ham and Mommy and Daddy's little helper! He's very sensitive and loves babies and giving hugs and kisses.
I'm so completely enthralled by him-- I just can't get enough!!!

Mom, this one's for you!

Over the past couple weeks Kellen has noticed that all race car drivers, ATV riders, Motorcross riders, and any other rider of something cool, has one thing in common... a helmet. So, he's been trotting around the house in Josh's motorcycle helmet (which is so heavy he can barely keep his head upright) or his bike helmet. I guess it's good he's into safety but he cant go into public wearing a helmet!! Could you imagine? Fortunetly I've been able to capitalize on this current obsession and finally talked him into wearing a hat! YAY!
